Writers Block, Self Doubt, Gaming & More...

Writers block can be one of the most annoying things when it comes to creating blogs and Internet content as it can have devastating results with viewing figures and YouTube channels...

I am currently in the first stages of starting to get writers block and this is my answer to getting away form it and trying to resume my normal schedule of working on the blogging network and my general everyday work.

I seem to get writers block every three months or so and find that the only to get out of it is to just push through it and write a page of pure nonsense and pick through it for even the smallest idea to just kick start the creative flow again. This is my main way of getting through it and making a start on work again and trying to move ahead with my work.

As many of my readers have noticed over the past few years I have started many projects and never really finished them and the main reason for this is the fact that when it comes to releasing a final projects I stop myself from posting it out if I am not 100% happy with it. It the curse of the content creator and it can lead to many hours spent working being wasted over the silly and insignificant self doubt of the creator themselves.

I am going to be creating some new time-lapse videos over the next few months and have a few major ideas that will boost the reach of the blogging network and help to improve the way content is created and how the readers can be more involved. I have some major plans to push the gaming content and make more games related posts and videos in the near future once my new gaming rig is fully set up.

I am looking on covering some gaming events this year and next year and building up a larger portfolio of gaming content plus making more video and photography content for the readers of the blog and the viewers on YouTube.

Productivity, Creativity, Design & Work

There are many things that can get in the way of a working day and recently I have found a few ways to keep on track and keep my creativity and productivity as active as possible. I am always busy with something and I have plenty of work with both the web design work and running the blogging network week in week out.

I have been think more about the network and how it is growing and the schedule that I started at the start of this year and how it limits the viewing figures and the way the search engine optimisation has been effected.

So from now on I will be keeping the games blog postings on a Monday and Friday but in the case of the main blog and the photography blog I will be posting when ever I feel like posting and not limiting the blog to just one day a week, this means you get more content throughout the week and allows for more creativity and productivity on the blogging network.

Creativity is a major part of my work and much of the content I make means that I am always doing something be it writing, taking photographs, playing games or just planning stuff for the network so when it comes to having a break I try to make the most it. But with the way the Internet is going it seems that if you take a break you can lose out on views and your search engine optimisation can suffer. This means that content creators like myself have to stock pile content for the times when we want to take a break so I am going to stockpile some articles of the next few months for any occasions when I take a break or go on holiday.

Design Work:
There are a few design projects I am working on and I am really enjoying the process of designing the graphics for a website that is going to feature some great watercolours of cars that should be popular with car fans around the world. I will tell you more once we have developed the site and it is ready to launch.

General Work:
I am currently in the process of helping to write a book that is still in development so once we have developed the project more I will be releasing more details soon. I am currently planning for a break and will have plenty of photos and content that will be on many of the blogs so be sure to keep an eye on the sites and follow me on twitter so you don't miss out.

WWW. 25 Years On...

The internet is 25 years old and its creator Sir Tim Berners Lee has celebrated the day by releasing a video that sums up the internet and how we are heading in to the future.

In the statement he said the following:

“The Web’s billions of users are what have made it great,” said Berners-Lee. “I hope that many of them will join me today in celebrating this important milestone. I also hope this anniversary will spark a global conversation about our need to defend principles that have made the Web successful, and to unlock the Web’s untapped potential. I believe we can build a Web that truly is for everyone: one that is accessible to all, from any device, and one that empowers all of us to achieve our dignity, rights and potential as humans.”

The internet has allowed for some of the greatest advancements in recent history and is the corner stone for the future that will help to shape how we live our lives and how we use technology.

In my view I believe the future of the internet is only secure and can only grow as long as it is open to everyone and its users are protected in a fair and just manner which allows for freedom to express themselves and create new opportunities and advance the internet for future use and to make it better and more accessible to everyone.

The mass surveillance of internet users is a major problem as it has lead to many issues when it comes to a person right to privacy and the unlawful acts by many governments around the world and persecution of whistle blowers like Edward Snowden and wiki leaks who have helped to protect the users of the internet by alerting us all to the danger we face when we go online.

The future of the internet will need everyday users to become more informed and to help the development and funding of better encrypted services and open source software to help combat the spying that has tainted the internet over the past few years and with time the internet will grow and become something we might never imagine.

The Internet is a gift to the world and it is very hard to imagine a world without it as we would not have seen many of the events in past history.

Question of the day:

What does the internet mean to you?
